Every episode opens in Grandma and Grandpa’s home where extended family and close friends gather together to tell stories and share life. In the evening, when the grandfather clock strikes seven, everyone gathers in the Story Room to read from the enchanted book,​ A Family Story, a book that contains every children’s story ever written. Once the Reader is chosen, he or she along with Camera (Viewer) are magically transported into the world of the book, where the true adventure begins.

Throughout each episode we cut back to the community of family and friends who offer comic relief, commentary and added story beats to the overarching narrative. Think, Princess Bride.

Each story is filled with song and dance and marries live action with animation as the story is not just read, but experienced much like the fantastical moments Mary Poppins is known for.
